Self described “healthy flexitarian” restaurant Flax and Kale has basically become a household name since it’s opening. Located El Raval, Flax and Kale is most likely the best known healthy food locale in Barcelona’s Ciutat Vella. The large, spacious restaurant is perfect for one-on-one lunch dates, to group meetings. Flax and Kale is adjacent to Teresa’s Juicery, also realized by vegetarian chef Teresa Carles. Whatever you do, don’t pass on their grilled watermelon appetizer, served with goat cheese, mizuna, mustard leaves, almonds, and sweet mint sauce!

Oma Bistró

If you’re looking for brunch, look no further. Oma Bistró serves the best smoked salmon eggs benedict on a homemade bagel in town. Also located in Eixample, Oma Bistró is a kid-friendly spot perfect for family gatherings. To drink, you have the option of excellent craft beers, mixed fruit juices, or excellent coffee. Be sure to save room for dessert; the impressive selection of homemade baked goods (red velvet cake, anyone?) isn’t to be missed!

The beloved vegetarian eatery BioCenter is a the perfect place to soak in the cozy atmosphere while enjoying delicious, buffet salad, or kitchen-made hot dishes.
