Gran Teatre del Liceu Opera

The second largest opera house in Europe, Gran Teatre del Liceu Opera is one of the most cherished cultural establishments in Barcelona. Each year Gran Teatre del Liceu presents a variety of opera shows, Die Zauberflöte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; and dance shows, like the Swan Lake, performed by Ballet Nacional de Cuba.

Gran Teatre del Liceu is located at Les Rambles, 51-59, just a few steps after La Boqueria Market.

Teatre Nacional de Catalunya

TNC – Teatre Nacional de Catalunya is a public theatre created by Generalitat de Catalunya, having opened its door in 1996. The theatre presents a variety of plays by authors like William Shakespeare and Federico García Lorca, most of them in Catalan.

Teatre Nacional de Catalunya is located at Plaça de les Arts, 1.

Teatre Lliure

Founded in 1976 by a group of theatre professionals, Teatre Lliure is considered today one of the most prestigious theatres in Spain. The theatre presents a variety of shows by Spanish theatre companies, along with its own productions.

Teatre Lliure is located at Passeig de Santa Madrona, 40-60.

Teatreneu

One of the smallest theatres in Barcelona, Teatreneu is also one of the most diversified, offering a variety of dance shows, standup comedy, musical theatre, improvisation shows and much more. If you want good shows at good prices, Teatreneu is the place to go.

Teatreneu is located at Carrer Terol, 26, in the neighbourhood of Gràcia.

Teatre Victòria

Located in the neighbourhood of Poble Sec, Teatre Victòria is a centenary theatre that presents some of the most elaborate productions in Barcelona. At Teatre Victòria, visitors can watch plays, dance shows, opera, and comedy shows.

Teatre Victòria is located at Avenida del Paral-lel, 67.

Teatre Poliorama

Teatre Poliorama opened its doors to the public in 1899. Managed by Tres por 3, this theatre used to be known as the Catalan Comedy Theatre, presenting exclusively comedy plays. Today, Teatre Poliorama still presents a large number of comedies, but also other genres. Besides from the plays, Teatre Poliorama receives dance and opera shows.

Teatre Poliorama is located at Rambla dels Estudis, 115.
