What you need to know on Saló de l’Ensenyament
This year the 31st edition of the Saló de l’Ensenyament will take place. This educational convention is aimed at clearing up all your doubts or questions about your education and vocation. The event would have taken place from March 18-22, but is now being postponed. It will be at the exhibition centre Fira de Barcelona in the district of Sants-Montjuïc.
As in previous years, this year’s convention will inspire and guide on both an academic and professional level. Educational experts will offer a series of free activities, in order for students and their families to have a clearer picture of the options before taking a decision.
The convention is important, because one should not take his or her profession – and the future it provides – lightly. Vocational Training is one of the key elements on the program of this educational event, as more and more specialized educational centers are offering this type of study.
The Saló de l’ensenyament is part of the Week of Education and Work, so this means you will be able to visit two more fairs. One of them is Saló de l’Ocupació Juvenil, and the other one is Futura, Saló dels Màsters i Postgraus.

This year’s event has even more study counsellors and activities than previous years, because there has been more interest in these services for academic and professional orientation. Here are some of the scheduled activities offered by the team of education experts:
- Guided visits to highlight all training possibilities
- Online consultation service on the website of Futura, Saló dels Màsters i Postgraus and Saló de l’Ocupació Juvenil to answer any questions
- Workshops and talks dedicated to decision making, studying abroad and self-knowledge
- Seminars for young people to support the decision making on an academic and vocational future
- Support tools and other teaching materials to facilitate the decision making process
- Individual and personal study advice
- Teachers’ lectures sharing their own experience
These are just some examples of what you can expect from the education convention organised by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya. In addition to study counselling services, students will be provided with detailed information on all different types of studies and training, from sports and languages in official schools, to artistic studies.
Besides the vocational trainings, the updated list of university studies will be available for convention visitors. Students can get information on national and international scholarships, so they will have the information on how to make good use of them.
This year (compared to last year) there will be more space for Vocational Training options. In fact, there will be an area called Ágora Formación Profesional of 1500 m2, especially dedicated to talks, demonstrations and much, much more.
