The Mojito traditionally consists of five ingredients, white rum, sugar, lime sparkling water and mint. The original recipe which originated in Cuba is thought to be over 500 years old, making it one of the country’s oldest cocktails.
In Barcelona, like many cities in Spain and Europe, Mojitos are on of the most common drink orders in bars and restaurants.
Here are some of the best places to grab a mojito in Barcelona:
Table of Contents
Rabipelao
This Venezuelan restaurant in the gothic quarter serves a really refreshing mojito, and if you go at happy hour (anytime before 11) it will only cost you €3.50.
Rosa Negra
This Mexican restaurant and Bar is famous for its €3.50 mojitos and for a good reason. With lots of mint and plenty of lime, these mojitos are really moorish.
Rosa Del Raval
The sister restaurant of Rosa Negra, in the heart of Raval also offer cocktails for only €3.50. The quality is just as good and because it’s not as popular with tourists as Rosa Negra the atmosphere feels a little more local.
Foxy Bar
This trendy bar near Sant Antoni metro station is ordinarily rather expensive, with drinks here setting you back at least €5, and usually more. However, if you go on a Sunday or a Thursday, you can get a mini mojito for €3.50. They also have other great drink deals for other days of the week which you can check out on their website.
Cera 23
This authentic Spanish restaurant and bar has a load of traditional drinks ton offer, including a mean mojito.
Rubbi Bar
This bar and tapas restaurant in Born is another great place to grab cheap mojitos, for only €3.50. The quality is excellent and the service is always friendly and welcoming to tourists and non-Spanish speakers alike.
El Bonbon
The final place on my list is a little bar in the gothic quarter with nice food, cool music and great mojitos, which cost only €3.
With mojitos around the city usually costing between 5 and 10 Euros, especially in the touristy areas like Ramblas or El Born, it can really be worth your while to visit one of these bars for a refreshing drink and fair prices.
I think you forgot the best mojito of Barcelona, that is in Plaza Real, at the Raimon bar. I’ve tried a lot of mojitos in my life but the best one I’ve ever tried is at Raimon
Hey Sam, just went to Bombon and they don’t have the 3 euro mojitos anymore. 🙁 Also asked for a small as well since I read on four square that’s the 3 euro one. The search continues! A worthy cause.
