Libraries in Gràcia

One of the most popular neighborhoods of Barcelona, Gràcia has a number of areas dedicated to leisure and a booming cultural life. Today, ShBarcelona is going to tell you about some of the areas where you can go to for a good readings session or a fun activity.

Biblioteca Vila de Gràcia

libraryLocated at Calle Torrent de L’Olla, Biblioteca Vila de Gràcia offers a selection of books in a variety of genres, which can be either read at their premises or checked out to be read later. The library has a study hall which is open from Monday to Friday, and it also organizes a reading club.

Located in the center of the neighborhood, Biblioteca Vila de Gràcia was built in 2002, with a total of 5 floors and 1029 square meters.

Biblioteca Jaume Fuster

Another great library in Gràcia, Biblioteca Jaume Fuster has been open since 2005. Located near Plaza Lesseps, the library holds the collection of the former Biblioteca Antoni Julià de Capmany. The Jaume Fuster Library is divided into a number of areas, among which is the one dedicated to children, offering not only books but a collection of CDs, DVDs, and other entertaining materials.

Biblioteca Vallcarca i els Penitents

libraryFounded in 2011, the Biblioteca Vallcarca i els Penitents – M. Antonia Cot was created to serve the people living in Penitents, Vallcarca, El Coll, Sant Genís dels Agudells and la Teixonera. The library has four floors, designed by architects Joan Íñiguez and Carles Lladó.
