One of the main tourist attractions in Argentona is the Museu del Càntir. The symbol of Argentona is the water jug, or càntir, as a thanks to the patron saint of the city, Sant Doménech, and the natural water fountain named after him. The museum collects ceramic pieces from all over the world which can be seen on display Tuesday-Sunday. The museum also has ceramics workshops throughout the year that are offered to the public. One of the best restaurants in town is El Celler, which specializes in traditional Catalan and Mediterranean cuisine. This restaurant is worth taking a trip from the city if you are staying in Barcelona with ShBarcelona, so be prepared to be amazed. The restaurant itself is housed in an old house of the typical old Catalan style, so you will feel as if you are right at home in grandma’s kitchen. Some house favorites are Catalan classics like canelons ans fideuà, in addition to featuring seafood and ingredients from the surrounding areas. This restaurant is on the pricier side but will be an unforgettable gastronomic experience!
