Art factories in Barcelona provide artists with a community of creativity. The goal of these art factories is to give support to artistic creation by providing workspaces, resources, networking, residencies, workshops and other tools.

Many of these art centers are former factory buildings that have been revived for use by artists, cultural agents, and organizations that promote creation.

This includes dance, theatre, plastic arts, multimedia, visual arts, writers, and more. The art factories have helped support the cultural creation and production, as well as strengthened the city’s cultural network.

If you are an artist or a simple art spectator, below you will find a few of Barcelona’s prominent art factories.

Fabra i Coats

Fabra i Coats is a multidisciplinary workspace for the performing arts, music, plastic and visual arts, multimedia creation and projects relating to information and communication technology (ICT). Ateneu Popular 9 Barris
