One of the top tourist attractions and a favorite among locals is the Museu de la Xocolata, a tribute to all things chocolate. Learn about the history of this treat, how it’s made, and the art that can be created using chocolate as the medium. This spot is a favorite among kids and families because there is something for everyone here. After taking a tour through the museum, you can enjoy a chocolatey dessert in the cafe or buy some goodies to take home for later. Either way, you will leave with some chocolate because when you walk in you will be handed a small chocolate bar that serves as your ticket throughout your tour of the museum!

Chocolate tours

Barcelona Chocolate Tours offers you a unique opportunity to get to know the streets of Barcelona while also sampling some of the best desserts you can find. This tour will take you through the streets of the historic part of Barcelona and along the way, you will make some pit stops to try chocolates and snacks from some of the best chocolate shops in the city. You can find traditional churrerías where you can have churros y chocolate, a Spanish favorite, or more modern shops where chocolate is treated like an art form. For something more modern, try Chök the Chocolate Kitchen where you can find any number of desserts like doughnuts, brownies, and croissants. To go the more traditional route, warm up with a tasty chocolate a la taza at Valor. Get some churros to dunk in your chocolate and you’re all set!

Chocolate workshops

For a more hands-on chocolate experience in Barcelona, you should try a chocolate workshop, which is offered at many different chocolate shops throughout the city. Both the Museu de la Xocolata and Chök the Chocolate Kitchen offer workshops for all ages at affordable prices and allow you to create some sweet treats and special memories. Workshops at Chök are for 2-6 people and last about 90 minutes. The ones at the Museu de la Xocolata are mostly aimed towards children and families. Whatever you choose you are sure to be in for a treat!
