Barcelona for photography lovers

Barcelona is a terrific city for those who are in love with the art of photography. Not only does it have a number of schools that can teach the basics or perfect techniques, but it is also home to many cultural centers and interesting sites that make great photographic subjects.

Where to learn

Grisart – Escola Internacional de Fotografia de Barcelona

Located at Calle Méndez Núñez, 14, Grisart is a professional school that offers short and full-length photography courses such as Lighting, Post-production and C.G.I.

If you are still a beginner you can opt for a basic photography workshop or basic plus, if you already have some notions of photography.

Training Photo

At Training Photo’s you can take beginner classes, advanced classes, or take one of the school’s workshops like Photoshop, Lightpainting and Product Photography.

You can find Training Photo at Rambla Catalunya 38.

Arsphotografico

At Arsphotografico you can study Digital Photography and Photographic Composition, Raw Processing,  or be tutored in Digital Photography.

Max Studio

Max Studio offers various levels of training, workshops and personalized classes, designed in a way to meet each student’s needs.

Mercado de la Boqueria

La Boqueria is one of the most lively places in Barcelona, a beautiful market with more than a century of existence. You will be delighted by the colors in the fruit and vegetable section, fascinated by the shapes in the meat section, and possibly horrified by the fried insect section.

Sagrada Familía

Declared World Heritage by UNESCO, Sagrada Familía is the single most visited monument in Barcelona. Combining Gothic architecture with Art Noveau, Gaudí created a masterpiece of epic proportions, with a particularly intricate façade and gorgeous stained-glass windows.

Casa Batlló

Located in the center of Barcelona, Casa Batlló is one of Gaudí’s most famous works. Filled with shapes and textures connected to the sea, the building is a photographer’s paradise, complete with a colorful dragon-scale roof.

Raval

Raval is one of the barrios with the most personality in Barcelona, where you can find people from all sorts of origins and an amazing amount of street art.
