Things to do in Barcelona with babies

Barcelona is a city that is packed with events, activities and things to do for all ages, including even the smallest citizens and visitors. Finding the perfect baby-friendly activity in Barcelona has never been easier but here are a couple of suggestions from us.

Museums

There are tons of museums to choose from in Barcelona, many of which are great for small children and babies. The Museu de la Xocolata is perhaps one of the tastiest and most fun options, as you can try some delicious chocolate, learn about the history and how it’s made, and see some amazing sculptures. It’s fairly small so you can take a quick tour or stay longer for workshops and activities. Another exciting museum for kids is the Museu Blau, Barcelona’s natural history museum. There, you can experience hands-on activities that will activate your baby’s senses and delight them.

Outdoor activities

Barcelona is a great city for getting out and about and getting some fresh air. Great outdoor activities to include your baby in are taking a stroll through any of city’s lush parks like Parc Güell or Ciutadella, or spend an afternoon playing on the beach.

A family day at the Barcelona Zoo, located in Parc de la Ciutadella, is sure to excite any baby, especially if it’s their first time coming face-to-face with a swinging monkey or a peaceful giraffe. Tickets for children 3 and up are reduced price and babies and toddlers under can enter for free!

Other activities

Your baby will be amazed by the colors, shapes, and strange creatures that can be found at L’Aquarium Barcelona, another great option for a family day out. Babies and children of all ages can explore the treasures of the underwater world at the aquarium, watch the feedings of different animals, and laugh at some quirky animal behavior.

A guaranteed hit with children of all ages is the amusement park at the top of Tibidabo, with fun rides, games, and attractions that are child and baby-friendly. There are plenty of walking paths as well, so you can take a nice walk and enjoy some of the most impressive views of Barcelona from above.
