Barcelona’s layered goodness

Barcelona has a number of excellent bakeries that serve a variety of tasty treats that can be enjoyed any time of the day. One particular item the Catalans bakers have managed to perfect is the multi-layered pastry created in France: the croissant.

Here are the bakeries and cafés where you can find the best croissants in Barcelona.

Hofmann

Michelin star winner Mey Hofmann is one of the most famous and respected chefs in Barcelona. She owns a variety of establishments, including a bakery in Born, where you can find exquisite treats like cakes, macaroons, jams, bonbons, and of course, croissants. Some of the original flavors of Hofmann’s croissants include raspberry, mascarpone and mango.

Hofmann is located at Carrer de Flassaders 44.
