Barcelona’s top nightclubs

Barcelona is a place where nights are long and filled with music. With a young population known for its late-hour partying and a variety of high-quality night clubs, this city is the perfect place for those who enjoy the clubbing scene.

La Terrazza

This unique open-air club is located inside Poble Espanyol in Montjuïc. It’s the perfect spot for those who enjoy dancing but avoid clubs due to the heavy smoke-filled air. This year the club is celebrating its 20^th birthday, which will be celebrated with several parties featuring a variety of artists.

La Terrazza is one of the most famous clubs in Barcelona, having been included in the list of the top 20 clubs in Spain and the top 40 clubs in Europe.

To get to Poble Espanyol you can take the red (L1) or green (L3) line of the metro, stopping at Espanya then walking for about 10 minutes. You can also use the night buses N1/N3/N14/N15/N16/N17.

Sala Apolo

Inside the former Sala Apolo theatre, you can find the of the most popular night clubs in Barcelona. The week starts with Nasty Mondays, a huge Rock’n’Roll party; Crappy Tuesdays brings clubbers the latest trends in the alternative music scene; Wednesday is time for some Caníbal Sound System with live acts and DJs; Thursday night is time for some singles from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s with Cupcake.; Nitsa Club fills Fridays and Saturdays with indie, electronic music, techno, electro, house and Hip Hop; each Sunday has a different programming, alternating between Jazz&Swing, Caprichos de Apolo and Churros con chocolate.

This year Sala Apolo will be receiving some of Primavera Sound’s concerts like Ice Age, Boreals and Ice Ice Superstar.   

Sala Apolo is located at Nou de la Rambla 113. You can get there by using the purple line (L2) or green line (L3) stopping at Paral.lel or taking one of the following buses: 20, 21, 24, 36, 57, 64, 91, 120, 121, 157, D20, H16, N0 (night bus), N6 (night bus).

Otto Zutz Club

Located in an old textile factory in Calle Lincoln, Otto Zutz Club is a magnet for famous people who like to hang out in the club’s “Los Altos” private room. The thirty-year-old club’s soundtrack includes hip-hop, R&B, Rock and Pop.

You can find Otto Zutz Club at Calle Lincon 15, near the metro stop Fontana (green line – L3).

Razzmatazz

With thirteen years of existence, Razzmatazz is the most popular club and concert hall in Barcelona. It is divided into five different rooms – Razzclub, The Loft, Lolita, Pop Bar and Rex Club – which play different styles of music. Throughout the years, the club has received some of the most famous names in the music industry like Belle and Sebastien, Coldplay, The Strokes, Blur, Justice, Smashing Pumpkins, Suede, The Hives, LCD Soundsystem and Scissor Sisters.

You can find Razzmatazz at Carrer Pamplona 88, which you can reach by metro using the red line (L1) stopping at Marina, or the yellow line (L4) stopping at Bogatell.
