One of the most peculiar bars in the Gothic Quarter is Bosc de las Fades, which is Catalan for “fairy forest”. With a unique atmosphere and decoration, resembling an actual forest, the magic always seems to be in the air in this place, which is a part of Barcelona’s Wax Museum. A very friendly staff and very accessible prices complete the checklist of things that make it a fantastic choice for any given evening.

My Way

If you’re looking for elegance, look no further than My Way. Named after the famous Frank Sinatra song, this bar has a vintage art deco decoration that will transport you in both time and place – how do you feel about a visit to New York in the 60s? Don’t miss out on their terrific cocktails and don’t worry about your wallet – despite all its fancy, the prices are still quite reasonable.

Opening hours: Monday to Thursday from 6 PM to 2 AM, Fridays and Saturdays from 6 PM to 3 AM.

L’Antiquari

Located in a gorgeous medieval square is one of the greatest bars in town, L’Antiquari. With an antique decoration (just like it says on the tin) and an upper floor that grants you an exquisite view of the Gothic Quarter, this place claims to have the best mojitos in Barcelona. Does it? Well, you’ll have to try them yourself and let us know – what it objectively has is a very diverse cocktail list and a pretty cool atmosphere, so it’s definitely worth a visit.
