Bus Stations in Barcelona

Traveling by bus to and from Barcelona is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to see other regions of Catalonia and Spain. In Barcelona, there are two main bus stations, Barcelona Nord and Barcelona Sants, where hundreds of passengers travel to and from Barcelona each day. Here’s some more information about the main bus stations in Barcelona.

Barcelona Nord

The Estació del Nord, or Barcelona Nord, is just a few minutes walk away from the Estació de França train station and the Arc de Triomf metro station. Most national bus services arrive at and leave from this station and many international services pass through as well. Many major bus companies such as ALSA and Euro Lines operate from Barcelona Nord. The station also offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and kiosks for passengers on long journeys to enjoy while waiting for their bus to depart. Bus ticket can be bought directly at the station for one-way and roundtrip journeys, and most bus services offer roundtrip tickets with open or fixed return date options.

Barcelona Sants

About a ten-minute walk from Plaça Espanya, Sants Station serves as one of Barcelona’s most important bus and train stations and a major transport hub in the city. Most international buses leave from this station, departing to countries all over Europe. buses are located just outside the main train station while inside the station, visitors can find several kiosks, shops, restaurants, cash machines, a pharmacy, and a tourism office. Tickets can be bought at the station or online ahead of time at the bus operator’s website.
