Children activities in Barcelona

If your stay in Barcelona includes the whole family and traveling with kids, whether you’re for a long term in the city or just to spend the holidays, you must know activities to do or places to go so that they can enjoy. Barcelona has hundreds of events designed especially for children throughout the year and throughout the urban geography spaces, so you and your children won’t be bored at any time. ShBarcelona wants to give you some ideas…

Tibidabo Amusement Park: This park is legendary and no inhabitant of Barcelona, whatever is there age, haven’t been to Tibidabo to ride on the roller coaster, to panic in its Passage of Terror, now called Hotel Kruger, or a ride in the Atalaya. Don’t miss out on the new Giradabo, which offers panoramic views of the city.

Cosmo Caixa: this museum is the ideal place to spend a fun day with kids as they can experience firsthand the science and its phenomena, with animals from different habitats or worlds beyond the solar system, among many other things. You can get to CosmoCaixa with Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat, the station you have to go is Avinguda del Tibidabo.

Barcelona Zoo: although a zoo is a somewhat artificial way to educate and show kids species of the animal world is the only way they can see some of the most exotic species of the world, and they love to do that. So if you want to see dolphins, giraffes, penguins and many other animals even if they are not in their natural environment, you enjoy a lot with your children  here.

Las Golondrinas: these famous boats opened in 1888 for the Universal Exhibition held in Barcelona that year and have established themselves as a touristic ‘must’ on the route of any city’s visitor. You can take a tour through the port of Barcelona and let the sea breeze take you away from the city for a while, while your children also spend some time in contact with the sea.

Cataluña en Miniatura:  at this small-scale reproduction of the most important monuments of Catalonia you will see that things you can’t see from the outside or from within of them because of their size. It is a very educational for children to learn about architecture and the landmarks of Catalonia.

Super3 the Musical: Super3 Club is a club for children that offers to the kids some television programs as well as advantages, competitions, discounts and much more. The play is now at the Victoria Theatre showing some of the characters in this club, most famous songs, and plenty of entertainment for the children to spend a fun and educational time.
