Every summer La Sala Montjuïc is settled in the cemetery of Montjuïc Castle, and this year it does for the tenth consecutive time, with an edition full of great cinema classics, recent releases, jazz concerts, Brazilian music and many other genres, picnics and short films. The key to this open space’s success is, as Mireia Manén and Nathalie Modigliani, La Sala Montjuïc directors, said, “good music, good movies and the possibility to have dinner in a friendly atmosphere suitable for all audiences”. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, La Sala Montjuïc has expanded its projection days from 15 to 18, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between June the 29th and August the 8th, with several special sessions as Nit Phenomena, already known in Barcelona for their cult films double sessions. In the programming of La Sala Montjuïc you can watch classics as “Rosemary’s Baby” or “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” and also more recent movies like “También la lluvia”, “Inception”, “Incendies” or the awarded “Chico y Rita”, among many others. For specific session dates go to La Sala Montjuïc website.
