The inside of the cafe is small with just three or four tables and most of the cafes’ seating found outside. Although on a main road, these seats still offer a lovely view, looking out at some of the indicative architecture found throughout the L’Eixample. Whether you fancy an afternoon coffee or an after dinner treat, Delacrem is the perfect place to go.

Renowned for its ice cream, Delacrem serves over a dozen different flavours which change on a regular basis. A single serving is €2.50 and for that, you get a generous portion of authentic, homemade Italian Gelato. Whilst the choice is not extensive, the quality more than makes up for this. My personal favourite is pistachio and it always leaves me with a smile on my face.
Delacrem offers a variety of tempting-looking pastries, croissants and cakes. I have tried the chocolate brownie which is popular and definitely worth a try. A crispy top with a gooey middle- everything a chocolate brownie should be.
The coffee Delacrem serve is Lavazza, and whilst it is not one of the best coffees around, it’s made well by the staff. Also, with a cafe con leche costing only €1.60, is very reasonably priced. Among some of the pricier coffee based drinks and treats is a café con helado, which I can verify is utterly delicious. They also do various types of affogatos that I have seen a number of people order. I am yet to try one but they always look and smell incredible.
