If you want to surprise your father like you’ve never done before, then how about booking one of the following leisure activities? He will be completely blown away by your thoughtfulness and creativity!

  • First of all we would like to suggest a craft beer tasting. There is always a good time for a fresh beer, and workshops include tasting several beers with tapas and an explanation on the beers. You will be introduced to everything you need to know about the craftsmanship and secrets of beer.

La Patente is a website that lets you book one of these workshops. It is located at Carrer de Villaroel in the district of Sant Antoni in Barcelona, and you can even make reservations exclusively for your party. The workshop consists of discovering everything this drink has to offer, through a tasting of Catalan and international beers. The drinks will be accompanied by delicious smoked foods, sausages, cheeses and preserves. Workshops usually last about 2,5 hours.

  • One of the best ideas is to book a getaway with the family. How about visiting rural Catalonia or the mountains? Surprise your father by going hiking together and discovering new surroundings. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture some of the moments during this unique weekend.

There are many rural houses in Barcelona, and these charming accommodations can be in protected areas, like Montserrat Natural Park or Montseny Natural Park. You can also make reservations at a rural (sometimes luxury) hotel, allowing you to not only enjoy nature, but also to explore nearby characteristic towns and some of the most beautiful beaches.

  • Not everyone owns a car or can afford driving a luxury car, but renting one should fit everyone’s budget! If your father loves to share his favourite exotic car with you, then why not make this dream come true, even if it’s just for the day or a weekend? A company called Drive me Barcelona rents out Ferraris and Lamborghinis, so you can experience driving in one of these luxury cars. The location for this activity can be a circuit, but you could also take a short trip and follow a certain route with a sports car.

The company is located in La Barceloneta, more specifically in Moll de Barceloneta, and if you pay them a visit you will see all the available super sports cars for rent. They can inform you of rental conditions and answer all your questions. Of course, you can also book your father’s dream car online to get an immediate confirmation. A down payment of 10% is requested, and the rest can be paid on the day of the activity itself.

  • Would you dare entering an escape room with your father? This activity means you will be spending a fun afternoon with your father, and you will surely bond more than you have ever bonded before. Experience a gangster plot that needs to be solved in order to get out.

By solving puzzles and discovering clues, you will complete your mission in this afternoon long activity. Roomin Escape is one of the companies in Barcelona that organises escape room events. You will meet in a certain place in the neighbourhood of Gracia, and this is where a special agent will inform you of what you need to do to think as a real detective.
