Fira Barcelona was created in the district of Sants-Montjuic in 1932 and declared for public use in 2000. It is Barcelona’s trade fair institution and one of the most important in Europe. Each year it receives a number of congresses, trade shows and events from different sectors, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the world.

For several years, Fira Barcelona has been home to Salón de Manga de Barcelona.
It’s an event that takes place between October and November, offering exhibits, activities, movies, gastronomy and competitions, all connected to the world of Japanese comics.
In the beginning of October, Fira de Barcelona hosts Barcelona Tattoo Expo, an event that gathers hundreds of tattoo artists from all over the world. Visitors can come to the even to observe the artists working, purchase tattoo supplies, or even be tattooed by the artists of their choice.
Salón Internacional del Cómic de Barcelona is Spain’s solution for Comic-Con. Created in 1981, this annual event gathers movies, television, comics and videogames fans, who dress up in full costume to compete for a prize and participate in the event’s activities.
The event also offers fans the opportunity to interact with important names in the movies, television, comics and videogames world, like screenwriters, design artists, and characters from their favorite shows.

With 26 years of existence, Sónar is a unique music festival that has travelled all around the world. Each year, the festival presents exciting names from established artists and emerging talent in electronic music. The festival is celebrated for three days, gathering Advanced Music and a Technology and Creativity Congress.
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the world’s largest event for the mobile industry. Organised by the GSMA (Groupe Speciale Mobile Association), this event offers world-class exhibitions and an award-winning conference program, offering visitors fantastic networking opportunities. This massive events attracts close to 100.000 visitors each year.
Each year, between April and May, Fira de Barcelona hosts Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week.
The event is divided in two categories: Fashion Shows, where the best designers in bridal wear launch their new collections, and Professional Trade Fair, where 230 brands present their bridal collections to 16.000 thousand buyers from over 80 countries.
