Gracia’s Coolest Shops

Gracia has it all, great plaças to watch the world go by, fantastic bars and wonderful restaurants. However, don’t while away a day in the barrio without checking out some of Gracia’s shops – they are some of the best in the city. Shops here, especially around Calle Verdi, are a tempting mix of local, bohemian outlets and high end boutiques – there is something for everyone. Here are our tops picks.

Retro City

Is there anything more fun than vintage clothes shopping? Retro City is a real treasure trove, with boxes and rails stuffed with gear from the last century. You’re guaranteed to find something special and unique in here.

Philo Boutique

Small but perfectly formed, Philo Boutique has a great range of clothing and accessories. Philo comes from the word ‘phylos’ in Greek, which means passion and this store has plenty of passion behind it. With brands from London and Paris, customers are guaranteed to leave with a chic treat.

Nostàlgic

For photography lovers, Nostàlgic is a gift of a shop. It was lovingly opened by two sisters who wanted an antidote to the somewhat soulless modern digital age. The shop has a range of vintage cameras from simple pinholes and throwaway compacts to top-of-the-range models and an accompanying selection of films, lenses and camera cases. They also stock decorative prints and photography books for photography fans and those eager to learn.

Amato Sole

Part workshop and part showroom, Amato Sole offers beautiful, unique hand crafted wooden furniture. Pieces are rustic and down-to-earth and can be made to order.

Nobodinoz

Perhaps the world’s coolest children’s shop, Nobodinoz offers clothing, homeware, books and toys and even offers art exhibitions aimed at children. An amazing place to pick up an extra special gift or source the perfect item for your little one.

We’ve barely scratched the surface of Gracia’s shopping scene here – we recommend spending a day roaming the barrio’s beautiful streets and popping in the myriad shops to discover the rest.
