Greek Restaurants in Barcelona

Moussaka – is an aubergine and tomato based dish with potato, minced meat (often lamb) and white sauce baked in an oven and imbued with spices, onion and garlic.

Keftedakia – meatballs filled with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano and mint.

Piperies Gemistes – peppers stuffed with cheese.

Saganaki – fried cheese, usually served as an appetizer.

Greek salad – tomatoes, cucumber, onion and herbs with feta cheese is a tradition in Greece.

Char-grilled and spit-roasted dishes are popular in Greece, and seafood is always on the menu.

Greece is famous for its creative use of vegetables and as such, vegetarian options are part of the diet and definitely available.

For dessert, try some Baklava – a delicious sweet pastry built on layers of filo, filled with nuts and held together by syrup or sometimes honey. Wonderful with a cup of coffee or chai tea to finish your evening.

Going Greek

Located close to la Rambla, El Magraner is a Greek restaurant with an excellent reputation. It has a laid back atmosphere and is truly authentic, offering a good selection of greek dishes and wines.

If you choose to enter Dionisos, you may very well be surprised by traditional Greek dancing and live guitar music to accompany your meal. They have a large selection of dishes and serve the famous Greek beer “Mythos”.
