As already mentioned, you will get the chance to see Half Moon Run live in Barcelona on March 6. They are going to perform at the music creation space La Nau in the neighbourhood of Poblenou. The occasion is the band’s new album: A Blemish In The Great Light.
Record label Glassnote released the new album last November, after the band’s second album (Sun Leads Me On) had been released in 2015 and they had broken into the music industry with the album Dark Eyes in 2012.
The album Sun Leads Me On was actually the reason they broke through internationally, and the band members hope to achieve the same results with this third music project.
General tickets for this special concert can be purchased on Ticketmaster, but you can also get tickets at Halcón Viajes and Fnac. If you would rather get your tickets by phone, call: 902 150 025. So, if you want to see the band in action, buy your ticket when you can, because it will be March 6 soon enough!
Interesting fact is that Half Moon Run has partnered with organization Plus 1, an organization dedicated to beating malnutrition by incorporating locally produced, therapeutic foods. This means that 1 euro of each concert ticket sold will go to Plus 1.

Shey Baba will be the opening act, and she is a singer songwriter from Los Angeles who just released her debut album Requiem. After this amazing supporting act you will be ready for the real deal and experience Half Moon Run live on stage.
The band has made great efforts to reach its goals. Its near-perfect harmonies and unusual music arrangements have had a great impact on psychedelia, alternative pop and folk music.
It is hard to categorize the Canadian band, because its music cannot be defined by one particular style. Perhaps indie rock comes closest, although this is not a perfect musical match either.
Devon Portielje is the leader of the band and lead singer, but he also plays a couple of instruments, like the guitar and percussion. The other members of Half Moon Run are:
- Dylan Phillips (singer, keyboard and drums)
- Conner Molander (singer, keyboard and guitar)
- Isaac Simonds (singer, percussion, mandolin, keyboard and guitar)
