The city of Barcelona is full to its outer edges with top notch restaurants and eateries. You can get yourself a meal of anything, from tapas to paella, escalivada to esqueixada. And it’s not only local dishes that are available. Being a modern cosmopolitan city, influences from many other parts of the world have found their way into Barcelona as well, and in some part of it, you can find yourself pretty much anything from anywhere, all with its own Catalan twist. And hamburgers are no different. The local chefs have taken this originally German snack and added their own unique Mediterranean style, and there are scores of places where you’ll find them popping up on the menu. Here are the best ones in El Raval.

Located just next to La Rambla on Carrer del Pintor Fortuny, 1, Luzia is an Italian eatery with a wide range of options on its menu. If you’re looking for a more traditional burger and chips style meal, then El Club de la Hamburguesa is where you should go. Situated on Carrer de Valldonzella, 3, they also have a selection of tapas and salads on offer, but the main focus is on the burgers. And they have loads to offer! They have many different styles incorporating ingredients from all over the world, from the classic burger with tomato, lettuce, onion, cucumber and mayonnaise, to more adventurous types, like the Mexican burger with jalapeño peppers and guacamole. They, in fact, have 12 different burgers to choose from! And there is also a vegetarian option with soy, sesame, chickpeas and baked eggplant. Definitely a place to check out.
