Why is Hello Kitty so popular?
However what really is making Hello Kitty increasingly popular with the Spanish market and which you will notice when you visit the stores in Barcelona is that a new collection has been created. But this one isn’t by the companies own design team but rather by Javier Mariscal. He has come up with six designs that will help to commemorate 400 years of bilateral exchanges that have been taking place between Spain and Japan.
Along with designing a “Smiling Kitty”, Javier has also created one that is referred to as part of the “Picasso” range. Along with actual figurines, there are hundreds of other products that follow the designs created by Javier. These will initially be for sale in Japan but it shouldn’t be too long before they start making their way into stores including the Hello Kitty in Barcelona ones over the coming months.
