If you are a horse aficionado or are simply looking for an interesting event in Barcelona, don’t miss the opportunity to attend this year’s CSIO.
Created in 1902, CSIO is an equestrian event whose name is an acronym for “Concurso de Saltos Internaional Oficial” (International Official Jumping Competition), which later changed its name to Concurso Internacional de Saltos de Barcelona.

This year the CSIO is celebrating its 104th international jumping competition, which will happen between the 24th and the 27th of September, at Real Club de Polo de Barcelona.
The event will receive eighteen teams from Europe, North America, Central America, South America, Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa.
The competition starts on Thursday the 24th of September at 12 pm with the Coca-Cola Trophy, finishing on Sunday, the 27th of September, with the Longines Cup of the City of Barcelona.
There will also be Equestrian Shows happening during the competition days:
SEAT will present an equestrian ballet by the Fundación Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Equestre;
Damm will present Audrey Hasta Luego, a show that will feature a demonstration of dressage and daring acrobatics;
Fedráration Equestre Internationale (FEI) and Furusiyya, the main sponsor of the event, will present a special closing ceremony, with a fusion of light and color in the middle of the show jumping arena.
This year, CSIO will have a Pony Park where children can discover the fantastic world of ponies. This solidary activity will have all its proceeds sent to Fundación Oncológica Infantil Enriqueta Villavecchia (Enriquera Villavecchia Child Cancer Foundation), to support families with children that are receiving treatment and to back research and doctor training.
Real Club de Polo de Barcelona is located at Avinguda Dr. Marañon, 19-31.
