La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou is one of the ten barrios that make the district of Sant Martí, designed by architects Albert Puigdomènech, David Mackay, Oriol Bohigas and Josep Martorell.
This particular area was renovated and improved in order to receive the athletes of the Juegos Olímpicos de Barcelona in 1992.
Today, La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou exists mainly as a residential and educational area, where one of the three campuses of University Pompeu de Fabra is located.
