Located in the city center but a bit outside the main tourist spots, El Safrige del Barri is without a doubt one of the most modern self-service laundrettes in Barcelona. They provide all the services you would expect to find in any self-service laundry. They have washing machines which hold 3 different weights; 8kg, 13kg, and 17kg. Also, one of the main perks of choosing El Safrige del Barri is that the washing detergent, softener, and stain remover are provided.

The washing time is a reasonable 30 minutes. They have four dryers which can take up to 17kg of clothing and you can open the door at any time to check if your clothes are dry. The drying process can take as little as 15 minutes, adding up to a total time of just 45 minutes to do a week’s worth of laundry. The prices are also very reasonable, ranging from €5 to €10 for a wash depending on which washing machine you choose and €2 for a dryer.

Address: Carrer d’Aragó, 104, 08015 Barcelona

Hours: Every day from 8 a.m to 10 p.m.

Splash

Splash laundrette has two locations, one near the sunny square of Plaça Universitat  and the other near the Sagrada Familia. The washing machine options at Splash are the same as the ones at El Safrige del Barri. The only difference with Splash is that it has a few more washing machines than their rivals. They also offer more options like an Extra Wash, Extra Spin, and Extra Rinse, just to make sure your laundry comes out just the way you like it.

Discounts

If you’re living in Barcelona for a while and intend to use the laundrettes frequently, it’s a good idea to invest in a loyalty card. Each of the laundrettes listed above offers a card which you can buy and charge money to whenever you like. You will then receive discounts every time you go there to get your laundry done.
