Learn how to make sushi in Barcelona

One of the most famous Japanese foods worldwide, sushi consists of rice cooked with vinegar, combined with other ingredients such as seafood and vegetables.

There are plenty of restaurants where you can have a sushi meal in Barcelona, but if you are a real fan of this type of food, you might want to learn how to make it yourself.


Sushibo

Sushibo is a restaurant and catering business that specializes in sushi , serving also a couple of other Japanese dishes like Miso soup, Yakimeshi, Yakisoba, Maguro Kinoko, Kimpira Duck and Spicy Yakitori. Sushibo offers three sushi workshops: Makisu, Temaki Party and Makisu & Temaki Party. All workshops take place at Sushibo’s Casanova location, at number 94, though they also have a restaurant at Ronde de General Mitre 220.

BCNKitchen

BCNKitchen is a service that offers cooking classes taught by professional chefs in one of their two spaces in Born or at La Boqueria market. Each class starts with demonstrations and the sharing of culinary memories and local traditions by the chef, followed by individual cooking and finally, sitting down with a glass of wine to enjoy the meal as a group. BCNKitchen offers a variety of cooking classes, including Japanese Food – Sushi, which is taught in Spanish.

Sabores

Sabores is a service that offers a variety of cooking workshops like Thai food, Creative Tapas, Traditional Catalan Food and Japanese Food – Sushi.  This two-hour sushi workshop takes place at Sabores school, at Carrer de Sant Lluis 58.

EatWith

Founded by friends Shemer Schwarz and Guy Michlin after a memorable dinner with a local family while traveling abroad, EatWith offers people an “alternative, delicious way for travelers to discover the world”. The service offers a variety of classes and culinary experiences in countries around the globe. One of the classes available in Barcelona is Learn the art of Japanese cooking, in which students will learn how to prepare an appetizer, a sushi dish, a hot dish and dessert.
