L9 Sud (South) starts at Zona Universitària going towards the airport, stopping at Collblanc, Torrassa, Can Tries/Gornal, Europa/Fira, Fira, Parc Logístic, Mercabarna, Les Moreres, El Prat Estació, Cèntric, Parc Nou, Mas Blau, Aeroport T2 and Aeroport T2.
The complete journey from Zona Universitària to the airport lasts about 30 minutes. To get to Zona Universitària by metro, take the L3, green line.
The L9 metro comes by every 7 minutes or even more frequently, when necessary.
The L9 works between 5 am and 12 am during the week, from 5 am to 2 am on Fridays and the day before a holiday, and from 5 am on Saturday to 12 am on Monday.
You can use any TMB ticket to get to the airport, except the single ticket or the T-10 card.
There are also other means of transportation you can use to get to the airport.
You can take a train to the airport from any of the main stations in the city, like Passeig de Gràcia and Sants. The train starts coming by at 6 am and then every half an hour until 11 pm.
If you prefer to enjoy the view, there is a bus service called Aerobus that takes you from Plaza Catalunya to the airport. The service starts running at 5 am, remaining operational until 12:30 am. You can check the buses daily schedule here.
Depending on the time your flight arrives/departs, you may be better off by taking a taxi. If you don’t find any taxi when you arrive, call (0034) 932235151. This is the fastest way to get to the center but it’s also the most expensive. The average price of a taxi ride to Plaza Espanya or Plaza Catalunya is 20€.
