Mobile World Congress 2023

It’s that time of the year again when the most important event in technology and mobile devices is about to take place. Mobile World Congress 2023 will be held in Barcelona from February 27 until March 2, as has been the case since 2006, and we will all be able to witness innovations within this exciting industry. MWC23 is taking place at the Fira de Barcelona.

How to get to the Fira de Barcelona when visiting MWC

Whether you will be visiting the Mobile World Congress or taking part as a company, we can recommend using Barcelona’s public transport. The organisation of MWC23 are providing registered visitors with a free public transport pass during the days of the congress, and you can use this pass to travel within Zone 1. You can also use it to travel from and to the airport. There are different solutions when it comes to public transport, and your best options are:

Metro

If you can’t hop on one of these lines directly, then you can also reach them by transferring from:

  • L1: stop Torrassa which connects with L9 Sud
  • L3: stop Zona Universitària which also connects with L9 Sud
  • L5: stop Collblanc connecting with L9 Sud

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC or train)

  • L8, S3, S4, S8, S9, R5, R50, R6 and R60: stop Europa | Fira

Bus

  • Lines 46, 65, 79 H12 and V1 with the TMB.

How many participants are expected to visit the congress?

There will be 60,000 to 80,000 visitors from over 150 different countries. You will see everything from the biggest companies looking to close deals, to mobile device manufacturers and other technology suppliers to showcase their newest products.

The 4 most anticipated introductions of MWC23

This year’s main theme will be the immersive technology (virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality) and how it will be of influence on the industry. There are expected to be four launches of new products, and you will be able to look at all the major brands at Mobile World Congress 2o23.

Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro and some other surprises

Xiaomi was among one of the first companies to confirm participating in this year’s event, and you will be happy with what you will be able to witness this year. There will be technological innovations, and we think that they will show the definitive model of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro in Barcelona. They may even display the successor of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

New Sony Xperia models

Of course Sony will be present during MWC23, and they are planning a big announcement, leading us to believe they have a few new models in the Xperia series. The Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 could even become their best-selling models.

OnePlus 11 and Buds Pro 2

The OnePlus brand has already introduced their new models in their home country, but the date for the global launch is set for February. It is likely that the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress. We can’t wait to look at them and get to know every little detail.

Realme GT Neo 5

The Realme GT Neo 5 will be introduced to the Chinese market in February, but it will soon find its way to the rest of the world as well. That is why it is expected that the MWC23 will be used as an event to present and highlight the brand’s best products.

That’s all for now on the Mobile World Congress 2023. ShBarcelona is convinced that there will be lots of technological novalties. What do you think?
