Located right next to the beach, Xiringuito Escribá is a restaurant that has the Mediterranean food culture as its mantra. It was founded in 1992 by Joan Escribá who continues the tradition of his own family, which has a past in cooking. This is a great place to eat seafood, serving one of the best paellas in all of Barcelona. The atmosphere is intimate and modern, perfect for a dinner.

Schedule: Monday to Friday: from 1 pm to 4:30 pm
and from 8 pm to 11 pm. Saturdays and Sundays: from 1 pm to 5 pm
and from 8 pm to 11 pm.

La Forquilla

“Market cuisine in a quiet environment, to wake up all the senses of the commensal” – this is the motto of La Forquilla. Located only a few minutes from Poblenou’s metro station, this is one of the most typical restaurants this area can offer you. Both the food and the service are some of the best you can find in the city.

  • Forquilla does not do paella, and Vell Poble Nou closed in December 2016 (the spot has been taken over by the vegetarian restaurant Aguaribay), maybe you should update the post.
