One of the most culturally relevant venues in all of the neighborhood of Sant Pere – Sant Catarina i la Ribera, the Picasso Museum was first inaugurated in 1963. Today, the museum has a collection of over four thousand works, displayed in 22 rooms.

If you are planning on visiting the Picasso Museum, you can either buy the tickets directly at the ticket office or buy the tickets online, which advise, as there is usually a long line to buy the tickets in person.
If you want to see the permanent exhibit, your ticket will cost 11€. If you also want to see the temporary exhibits, you can buy a combined ticket, which will cost 14,50€. If you already feel way too familiar with the permanent exhibit, you also have the option to buy tickets for each of the temporary exhibits, which are usually between 4€ and 7€. People under 25 years old, people over 65 years old, unemployed people carrying the pink card, and Bibliotecas de Barcelona cards holders can go into the museum for a reduced fee. People in these categories will pay 7€ to see the permanent exhibit, 7,50€ for the permanent exhibit + temporary exhibits, and between 3€ and 5€ for each of the temporary exhibits. People under 18 years old and students with accreditation can go in for free. Entrance is also free every Sunday after 3 pm, and the whole day on the first Sunday of the month.

The Picasso Museum is located at Carrer Montcada 15-23. You can easily get there using public transportation. If you decide to take the metro, use the red line (L1) and exit at Arc de Triomf, the green line (L3) and exit at Liceu, or the yellow line (L4) and exit at Jaume I. If you prefer to take the bus, you can take lines 45, 120, V15 or V17, exiting at Via Laietana, lines 39, 51, or H14, exiting at Passeig Picasso, lines 51 and H41, exiting at Pla de Palau, or line 120, exiting at Calle Princesa.
The Picasso Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm, including holidays. On Thursdays, the museum remains open for longer, until 9:30 pm. The museum is always closed on Mondays.
