Quest for the best sandwiches in Barcelona

Isn’t it nice to sometimes just grab a bite, instead of having a full course meal? What about grabbing your food directly with your hands, no utensils and all?

Sandwiches are one of the yummiest substitutes for a big meal, crunchy and practical to carry, so that you can chew on the go.

Here are some suggestions to help you embark on your own personal quest for the best sandwiches in Barcelona.

Bo de B

Bo de B  is one of the most famous sandwich shops in the whole city. For less than five euro you can choose from a variety of delicious, thick subs. The sandwiches at this place are so legendary and cheap that the line to order usually comes out the door, spilling into the street.

Bo de B is located at Carrer de Fusteria, 14, close to Via Laietana. The best way to get there using the metro is by taking the yellow line (L4), exiting at Barceloneta.

Louise Se Va

Louise Se Va  is a musical themed café/bar in Horta – Guinardó where you can have a sandwich named after a musical legend. There are 53 sandwiches and 8 hamburgers to choose from, with names like Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Ramones, Clapton, Blur, and Lou Reed.

Louise Se Va is located at Plaça d’Elvissa, number 11. The best way to get there is by taking the blue (L5) line of the metro and exiting at Horta.

Sandwichez

Sandwichez  is a restaurant that offers fresh and healthy products in order to promote a natural lifestyle. The restaurant serves a variety of sandwiches on seven different types of bread like sliced bread, baguette, barley bread, and bread with spices.

Sandwichez has eight restaurants in Barcelona and is preparing to open two more. If you want to go to one of the restaurants closest to the center, you can try the one in Ronda Sant Antoni, 35 (close to the subway stop Sant Antoni) or the one in Carrer de Mallorcca, 179 (between Hospital Clínic, Universitat and Passeig de Gràcia metro stations).

Panino Silvetre

Panino Silvetre
is a wonderful restaurant that serves Italian sandwiches, hot on the outside and cold on the inside. There are 18 different paninis and 20 piadinas to choose from.

There are 3 Panino Silvestre restaurants in Barcelona: one at Carrer Major de Sarrià, 92; one at Carrer de Balmes, 189; and one at Plaza Bonanova, 3.
