Oh Gracia, how we love you so. Your sunny squares, your hipster hangouts, your great bars, your tranquil yet feisty character. When you’re hungry in Gracia but don’t have bags of time, here are our top recommendations for great places for a quick bite to eat.

Table of Contents

In the daytime

There are lots of great places to sit in the sun and have a snack or a quick lunch on both of Gracia’s main squares – Plaça del Sol and Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia – however, we think Sol de Nit is the best of the bunch. It has a great range of tapas and other plates, as well a selection of tostadas. The food is high quality and well put together and there are plenty of vegetarian options too.

On a Sunday, or any day really, drinking local vermouth with friends in a tradition in Barcelona. La hora del vermut – the time for vermouth – is not complete without a quick bite to complement the vermut. In Gracia, Ca’l Pep stands head and shoulders above the rest for nibbling and vermut-ing.

In the evening

If you you’re looking for a super quick bite to eat, how about free tapas with your drink? Head to Gata Mala near park Guell for one of the few places in Barcelona that will give you a generous complimentary tapa with each drink.

If you’re looking for something mid-range, contemporary tapas bar La Pepita has a small but perfectly formed menu of classics with a twist. Attentive service and reasonable prices make this one to beat for a great swift meal.

The perfect quick bite in Barcelona has got to be the pintxo – no ordering, just instant delicious food laid out for you. And we think Gasterea in Gracia has some of the best reasonably priced pintxos going.
