Reasons Why You Should Visit Barcelona In Your 30’s

Whether you are visiting Barcelona for the first, second or fifth time you’ll follow in love with it. This city is a place for young and old alike to enjoy. Yet there are plenty of reasons why you should visit Barcelona in your 30’s.

The city’s historic centre

You can spend time exploring the city’s historic centre that dates back to a time before even the Roman’s had made it their home. Spend your time wandering through a maze of tiny streets that take you to wonderful plazas and squares. Allow you the opportunity to get a real feel for the city and all that it has to offer.

Of course during all that sightseeing you’re going to feel peckish. Well one thing you don’t have to worry about is where to eat, as there is a great selection of places for you to enjoy.

La Boqueria

If you want to get something a little more authentic for lunch then head to La Boqueria. This is the city’s famous central food market and located in an area known as Barri Gotic. Of all the places where you can grab lunch this is one of the best.

You might even want to take in one of the many tours on offer. One of the best is the Context Travel’s Food Tour. This one takes you on an exploration of not just Barri Gotic, but also the various food markets around the city. It allows you to explore more of the history of the food and delicacies offered not only in the city but in this part of Spain as a whole.

But tasting the local delicacies is great, have you ever thought of trying to cook some of these dishes as well. Well you can now, as there are plenty of one day cooking classes offered throughout the city. Imagine being able to go home and create some dishes for your friends that they have never had the opportunity to try before.

When the weather is good you can of course head to the beach, but you may find life a little more laid back heading to one of the city’s park. One place we would particular recommend is Parc de la Ciutadella. There are plenty of places where you can sit and relax and enjoy a picnic made up of fresh bread, ham and some local wine.

Although this and other beaches is one of the reasons why you should visit Barcelona in your 30’s. There is plenty of great things to do and see in the evenings. Along with the various night clubs you may want to take in a show or two, as the theatre scene has begun to flourish once again. As a result a great number of well known musicals and plays from around the globe have appeared here.
