To avoid awkward situations at restaurants, or for your children to enjoy their lunch just like you do, there are many dining options in Barcelona, and ShBarcelona recommend you some of them. We invite you to share your findings in the comments on restaurants to eat with children that are not mentioned here.

Mamas & The Papas: This site in the middle of the Rambla de Poblenou and is a cafeteria and also an ecological toy store fully adapted to children and their parents, with distinct areas for everyone to have a good time. The place is very spacious with pastel colors and made of wood walls. The kids can play with toys, do cooking workshops or eat some biological candies.

Pudding: (pictured on cover) they define themselves in their website as the “New Generation Coffee Shop” and happen to get over the limitations of a traditional cafeteria. What does that mean? It means that is a space where you can eat healthy with dishes made with seasonal products, but also play in a wealthy space for children with a giant blackboard, board

Semproniana: This is a funny and original restaurant in an former bookstore where you’ll feel as comfortable as at home with the whole family thanks to its decor and menu of homemade dishes supervised by Ada Parellada. They held cooking workshops for children on Saturdays at noon for parents to have a relaxed lunch of dinner.

Marc Restaurant: A fully equipped place to welcome the whole family, with homemade and healthy dishes. It is located in the Villa Olímpica in Barcelona, and has a room with paintings, boards, toys, costumes, miniature kitchenettes, etc., for seniors enjoy the meal while their children play.

Mescladís: a social and non-profit organization in the Born district, a project that also involves a space where cooking workshops are held and a bar-restaurant located in a huge terrace surrounded by Gothic arches of medieval appearance. There is always lunch and dinner menus with organic ingredients in their dishes and fair trade products, following the philosophy of this project.
