Garraf – Just about 40 minutes from Barcelona, Garraf is home to the Penya Ginesta and Pic de Martell crags, two great climbing spots with very rewarding views.
Montserrat – Montserrat is absolutely worth the one-hour drive it takes to get there from the city. Offering well over a thousand climbing routes, it has long been a favorite of both local and visiting rock climbing enthusiasts.
Costa Daurada – One of the best climbing destinations in Catalonia, this coastal area is located southwest of Barcelona, at the distance of a 90-minute drive. Costa Daurada is a particularly good choice during the peak of the summer – several of its crags are shaded by trees, providing relief from the extreme heat.
