Scandinavian design shops

Are you into Scandinavian design? It’s the new trend in decoration in the city: lots of new cafés and shops are opening in Barcelona following the nordic inspiration. From Shbarcelona we select three shops in Barcelona where you can buy items from the top brands of Scandinavian design and get new ideas or inspiration for your home or business.

Codeco

Codeco is located in the lovely Enric Granados street, in the heart of Eixample. You can find there almost the entire Normann Copenhagen catalogue, and they have many pieces of furniture and accessories on display. They also work with other brands (Design House Stockholm and Nordic Tales, for example) and even have their own line of design (their tables are just beautiful). Check their sales and offers (furniture on display is often sold at a reduced price for example) in the shop.

Nordicthink

Although they have all the catalogue online and you can order from the website, it’s a pleasure to pass by the shop
and get inspired. Here you can find almost anything from the top brands: String shelves, Muuto lamps and sofas, Normann chairs and tables, Ferm pillows and accessories, Brita Sweden carpets…They also have their own designs and a corner full of nice ideas for kids. They are in Consell de Cent street, just after Passeig de Sant Joan. Check their offers and promotions on their website.

Domesticoshop

Domesticoshop has two showrooms in Barcelona. One is located in Eixample (close to Diagonal) and the other one in a huge space (700 square metres!) in Poblenou. They work with lots of brands (not only Scandinavian) and it’s the place to go to get design items. Apart from the brands mentioned before (Ferm, String, Muuto…), you can find Hay House furniture, Poulsen lamps or Gubi products. Not everything is on display in the showroom, but the whole catalogue is online for you to browse. Other iconic brands present in their catalogue are Knoll, Kartell or Vitra. Scandinavian design items are not precisely cheap, and take into account that many of the items in this shop are original designs and can be quite expensive.
