Scharlau is the creation of its namesake and founder, Werner Scharlau. As a young man, he began to manufacture leather goods but soon had to give it up to take over his father’s business. Throughout the next 20 years, Scharlau traveled frequently for business and noticed that many items such as suitcases, briefcases, and bags weren’t of good quality and broke easily. Scharlau decided to put his knowledge of leather goods and traveling to use and to create the perfect items to make your traveling experience both functional and stylish, with a high-quality product. From this idea and passion, Scharlau was born.

Collections and products

There are currently two Scharlau collections: Collection 1 and Mies Collection. Regardless of the collection, every one of Scharlau’s bags has the same features to make traveling for business a cinch. All bags come equipped with pockets for your personal electronics, including pockets for your laptop, tablet, and mobile phone.
