Shopping Malls Open on Sundays in Barcelona

Sundays are synonymous with rest and lazing around for most people in many parts of the world. After being hard at work during the week, a day of rest seems well deserved. Unfortunately, this also means that many shops are closed on these days. In Barcelona, most shops and shopping malls are not open for business on Sundays except for souvenir shops in the center, restaurants, cafes, bars, and cinemas. However, you have no reason to worry because if you have an emergency or need to do some last minute shopping before leaving Barcelona, there are a few shopping malls which remain open on Sundays.

The Maremagnum shopping center is a unique complex because it’s the only shopping mall in Barcelona that opens all year. Also, being close to the sea, it’s  surrounded by water and therefore has magnificent views. The shopping mall hosts fifty-nine stores with both local and international brands that sell menswear, women’s fashion, beauty products, shoes, and technology. There you can find big national and international brands such as Zara, Desigual, and Lacoste among others. It also has restaurants and cafes where you can take a break for a quick bite. Shops are open from 10 am to 9 pm whereas the restaurants and entertainment spots open from 11 am to 3 am.
