The best places for steak in Barcelona

If you come for a visit to Barcelona or decide to move into the city, you will quickly find out that it tastes great around here! Barcelona has become a wonderful place for foodies, home of some of the best restaurants around the world, serving a variety of different cuisines. If you’re a meat lover you are in luck, because there are some excellent steak joints in town where you can have a great, tasty meal. Here is our list of the best places for steak in Barcelona.

Gilda by Belgious

This venue is an oldie and a favorite amongst tourists and residents alike. Gilda by Belgious is a real hit on TripAdvisor having won a certificate of excellence in 2014. They serve a fusion of European and South American food in a continental atmosphere, including a brilliant steak with blue cheese sauce, and a Belgian beef tenderloin with potato gratin. They also serve great tapas and desserts, which means that you will leave the restaurant feeling full and happy.

Gilda by Belgious is open from Sunday to Thursday between 6:30 pm and 12 am, and Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 to 12:30 am.

Patagonia Beef and Wine

This elegant venue serves some of the best Argentinean food in the city. They serve exquisite meat dishes made with meat that comes directly from Argentina and that is prepared on a charcoal grill. Some of their meat dishes include Bife de ChorizoPicanha, and Medallón Rossini. They have an unbelievable selection of wine from Spain and Argentina, as well as delicious starters like grilled oyster mushrooms, and matambre relleno, as well as some fantastic desserts such as a lemon bavaroise and a rum and apple pancake.

Patagonia Beef and Wine is open every day of the week from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and then from 7 pm to 11 pm from Monday to Thursday, from 7 to 11:30 pm Friday and Saturday, and from 7 pm to 10:10 pm on Sunday.

El Restaurant Vinya Rosa

Also from Argentina, this restaurant combines meat heavy dining with art. So if you fancy some aesthetic novelties to gaze at whilst you’re carving up a skirt cut, El Restaurant Vinya Rosa is the place to go. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious meat dishes which are prepared over burning wood, giving them a special distinctive taste, and they also offer a couple of vegetarian options for those who are accompanying meat-lovers but are not so keen on eating meat themselves.

El Restaurant Vinya Rosa is open from Monday to Thursday from 1 pm to 3:30 pm and from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The restaurant also opens on Fridays at lunch time from 1 pm to 3:30 pm, and at night, from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. On Saturdays, the restaurant only opens at night, from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

9 Reinas

This is a fantastic restaurant for steak, including Aberdeen Angus beef, some of Scotland’s best meat. They also serve veal for those who want a more refined experience, and huge empanadas filled with fresh spices and juicy mince. 9 Reinas has a heavy Patagonian influence and is known for its great service, which means you are guaranteed to have a great experience while dining there.

9 Reinas is open every day of the week from 1 pm to 3:30 pm, and then from 7:30 pm to 11 pm, remaining open an extra half an hour at night on Saturdays and Sundays.

Tucked away in the classy district of Eixample this is a restaurant serving a menu straight from southwest France. Many find that the best dish at this little restaurant is the steak tartar so you can’t go wrong with it. But before you dig into your steak, you can have a good, fancy starter like a plate of oysters. With a very simple decoration and friendly staff, this restaurant offers visitors a nice and tasty experience.

Au Port de la Lune is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and then from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm. On Saturdays, it opens from 10 am to 5 pm and then from 6:30 pm to 12 am. On Sundays, it opens only from 11 am to 5 pm.

Buenos Aires Grill Restaurant

Ever been out late hungry and wishing there was something better than a kebab to keep away the hunger pangs? Then, you are in luck! Buenos Aires Grill Restaurant is open late and it will serve you a prime cut of meat well into the early hours with strong cocktails on the side. Seating is available up at the bar or at tables for a more relaxed experience. So if you find yourself in Eixample late at night, looking for somewhere to dine, this is the place to go.

Buenos Aires Grill Restaurant is open every day of the week from 1 pm to 12 am.

Les Quinze Nits

If French style steak frite are what you’re into, there is no better place to go for it than Les Quinze Nits, in the heart of the Gothic neighborhood. The restaurant is located at  Plaça Reial, where you can watch tourists amble by and street performers plying their trade around the square. Les Quinze Nits is known for serving a thin seared steak frite done exactly to the clients’ request and a good selection of Mediterranean food at reasonable prices.

Les Quinze Nits is open every day from 12:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
