If you travel to Barcelona or live in this wonderful city with your partner (boyfriend or girlfriend), surely you have been to that romantic place that you know or that romantic place someone recommended you for a special occasion or to celebrate an anniversary. This place doesn’t have to be a restaurant or a bar, is just one point that whatever is romantic and ideal for romantic declarations, for example. From ShBarcelona we want to recommend some of these sites that you maybe don’t know…
Torre de Collserola viewpoint: this is the telecommunications tower you see if you look at the Tibidabo mountain, and was built for the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992. It is the tallest building in the city with 288 meters high, and inside, particularly in the tenth of thirteen floors, has a 360 degree viewpoint from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. If you go with your partner you will see a beautiful sunset in his/her arms.
The Horta’s Labyrinth: we have talked sometimes about this place, an amazing site located in the district of Horta in which were filmed several movies, and where you can lose yourself for a few hours to find peace and fun with the person you love. Do not miss the pond and the neoclassical pavilion or the steps of Belvedere.
Mirador de Miramar (Poble Sec): this viewpoint in Montjuïc you can walk from the neighborhood of Poble Sec, and once you get up, all your effort will be rewarded with fantastic views of the port of Barcelona and, if you are thirsty, with a soda or a beer at the bar of the viewpoint. Right there you can also walk among the Ombus (trees that have “sculptures” in their trunks) and delight your eye with the hotel built for the Universal Exhibition of 1929.
Promenade by the sea: The promenade that stretches along the sea and along the entire coastline of the city of Barcelona is one of the most romantic walks you can do during the colder seasons. In summer is crowded with tourists and locals who come and go to the beach or have a drink on one of the terraces, it loses a little of the romance, but is also a great place to walk holding hands with your boyfriend or girlfriend. Definitely, you should take a walk on this promenade…
Pedralbes gardens: we have also talked about these gardens in the highest part of Barcelona, where walking is a pleasure therefore the vegetation that inhabits it as the architecture that has been built inside. A place where to find peace to make a love declaration to your partner or just to hang out away from the bustle of the city without anyone bothering you. Just out of these gardens you will find shopping and entertainment areas that will make you come back down to the “real world.”
The Born district: the Born is one of the oldest districts in Barcelona and therefore, it has some of the buildings with more history and charm of the city. When you come in its narrow streets and bump into their churches and buildings, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time and you will find a new literary paradise. We recommend you to have a good company while walking here and discover the less crowded places, although you should be aware of potential thieves and pickpockets that are hidden in some obscure points of this district if you decide to go out at night in the Born district.
