Gràcia is one of the most creative neighborhoods in all of the city, booming with cultural activities. The neighborhood used to be a village outside the city of Barcelona and the fact that it was located far from the center allowed a variety of stores, bars and small businesses to grow. A number of artists moved to this area, which made theaters start popping up all over the place.

Teatreneu

Located in Calle Terol, Teatreneu is one of the most popular theatres in Gràcia. The venue offers their visitors the opportunity to dine or have a drink before watching a show. Most of the shows featured in Teatreneu are directed at the general audience, with lots of comedy plays, improvisational theater, and magic shows.

Teatre Lliure de Gràcia

Since it reopened, Teatre Lliure de Gràcia has become one of the most important cultural venues in the neighborhood. The theater features both Catalan and Spanish plays.

Almeria Teatre

Almeria  has its own resident theater company who perform in a variety of high-quality shows. This venue also hosts cabaret shows.

Sala Beckett

Sala Becket is one of the theaters in Gràcia with the most appreciation for the dramatic arts. It is not only a theater but also a school for actors and playwrights. The venue is known for its intimist plays, making the audience reflect on the presented subject.

Jove Teatre Regina

Jove Teatre Regina is famous for its family and children’s shows, helping the young ones to become acquainted with the world of drama. The theater has recently started presenting plays for adults as well.
