DocsBarcelona: on the 27th began this festival with the documentary Los Náufragos de la casa quebrada by Llorenç Soler. Until the 1st of June, attendees can enjoy films as The Good Son by the Israeli Shirly Berkovitz, Demonstration by VictorKossakowsky, among many other masterpieces that will opt to win prizes in various categories. Don’t miss it and see the full program!
Exhibitions at the Palau de la Virreina: in Virreina Palace, located on the Rambla in Barcelona, next to the Boqueria market, you will find some of the best exhibitions of the city without spending a single euro. Currently you can visit several exhibitions as “25%. Catalonia At Venice” about the rate of unemployment in our country, the photographs of Martin Parr in “Los inconformistas” and “8 Cos Enganxat ” by Alex Francès.
Llegim to Jardí: This activity is sponsored by the Biblioteca de Catalunya with the City Council support to provide a cultural use for Rubio y Lluch gardens and turn them into a landmark in the city. This space is offered as a place for outdoor reading and also provides loan books and magazines. Oh, and there is also free Wi- Fi.
Free MNAC (every Saturday from 15h): it’s been 2 years since the National Museum of Catalan Art started opening on Saturdays from 15h with free access for anyone who wants to enjoy their exhibitions for free. This decision was aimed to attract students and young audience but we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to visit this excellent museum full of history.
Picnic sobre ruedas: This picnic will take place on June the 1st and is a bike ride from the Poble Nou to Ocata beach, an easy and flat path. Once reaching the destination the bikers will enjoy a picnic of the food and beverage each person would bring. If the bikers are tired to come back to Barcelona after the picnic they can take the train.
