If there is something you can count on when visiting Barcelona is that you will have fun. From walking tours to sports events, to bar crawls and disco nights, Barcelona offers a variety of activities for all different tastes.
To help you get the good times rolling, here are some of the top leisure activities in Barcelona:
Parque de Atracciones Tibidabo
The price of a ticket is 28,50€, 10,30€ for those who are shorter than 120cm and 10€ for people over 60 years old. Kids under 90cm of height go in for free.
You can go up to Tibidabo mountain by car, but not all the way to the amusement park. There is a paid parking area where you can leave your car. After that, you have the choice of going the rest of the way by funicular or Tibibus, which is free if you have a ticket to the park.
Live music
Barcelona is a city of artists. It’s easy to find music erupting from different places all over the city. Be it a fifty year old person playing the accordion on the subway, a Chinese old man playing a strange yet beautiful instrument in the tunnels or an impromptu banjo-piano-trumpet concert happening in middle of Pla de la Seu, when you visit Barcelona you will have opportunity to listen to a variety of free live music.
And if that wasn’t enough, the city also hosts a series of music events like the Festival de Musica de Barcelona in the gardens of Pedralbes, a festival that has received iconic artists as Bob Dylan, The Pet Shop Boys and Tom Jones; Primavera Sound which takes place in the Forum, gathering some of the hippest names of contemporary music like Artic Monkeys, Alt J, Belle & Sebastian; or the Sónar music, creativity and technology festival, which each year presents shows by new and exciting names like FKA Twigs and established bands like The Chemical Brothers and Duran Duran.
Barcelona has an interesting number of festivals and traditions celebrating the local culture. Some of the most the most popular festivals are Fiesta Major de Gràcia, Fiesta de La Mercè and the Carnival, while some of the most interesting local traditions include the castellers, the gegants and the correfocs.
