Travelling by yourself can be a daunting experience. There are advantages, like being able to do things at your own pace and not having to debate where to go next, but there are also disadvantages, the biggest one of all being feeling lonely during your time abroad. In Barcelona, there is a place where you can go to meet other travellers and strike up a conversation: Travel Bar.

The name says it all. The bar is set up for travellers to come and meet each other in order to further join forces in discovering the city or simply have a drink together. They also offer events such as walking tours around the city and paella cooking nights. These are perfect for the single travelers who want to do activities but not by themselves. There are tours every day after which you can return to the bar to have a drink with your new found friends, either in the beautiful courtyard round the back, or in the rustic and traditional bar itself.
Travel Bar has beverages from all over the world, including wines, whiskeys and even ciders, which is a huge rarity in the city. The staff is knowledgeable about their alcohol and all have several years of bartending experience. They have a cocktail list and they sometimes invent new shots on the spot. Best of all, the drinks are some of the cheapest in the city!
