Barcelona is a city filled with flavors from all over the world. México, Taiwan and Portugal are only a small number of countries represented gastronomically in Barcelona.

If you are having a hard time choosing among so many delicious choices, why not go for a taste of the sophisticated French cuisine?

ShBarcelona presents some suggestions of restaurants and café where you can get a taste of France.

 

Gouthier

f1A tastefully decorated restaurant, Gouthier offers meals composed of the most refined dishes like oysters, codfish, octopus or smoked salmon. The restaurant also offers an excellent selection of meat, cheese and wine.

This Oyster & Gastro Bar can be found at calle Mañe I Flaquer 8 in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 1:30 pm to 4 pm and from 7:30 pm to 12:30 am.

 

Bistrot BCN

Located at calle Casanova number 15 in Eixample Esquerra, Bistrot BCN offers traditional French food in a warm and inviting setting. The restaurant is complete with a main room and an open-air space, offering the clients the possibility to reserve private rooms for lunch works, romantic dinners or simply to enjoy a meal in a quieter setting.

Bistrot BCN is open from Monday to Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm and 8 pm to 11 pm. The restaurant does not open on Sundays or Monday nights.

 

En Aparté 

Offering a beautifully lit and cozy atmosphere, En Aparté is a restaurant café with good service and good food. The restaurant offers an affordable daily menu and a great variety of cheese and sausages.

En Aparté is located at calle Lluis el Pidós 2 at Plaça Sant Pere. It is open the whole week from 10 am to 1 am, with the exception of Friday and Saturday, when it stays open until 2 am.

Mimicking the original French bistros, Café Emma offers a beautiful space in which you can try several dishes of French cuisine. The restaurant/café is owned by Romain Fornell and Michel Sarran, two French chefs who have received a Michelin star.

Café Emma is open from 8 am to 12:30 am every day at calle Pau Claris 142.
