How to Find a Job at El Prat – Barcelona Airport

El Prat is the second largest airport in Spain and one of the most important airports in the world. The airport has a large surface, with two terminals and a variety of shops and other services.

Jobs at El Prat

Before starting the process, take a moment to think about what specific area you would like to work in. Do you want to be in Retail? Do you want Hospitality or housecleaning? Is customer service what interests you? Or do you prefer to be an outdoor person, working with airplanes, ground service, and maintenance?

Many of the retail stores in El Prat are part of major chain stores. It is best to apply to the specific company and see if they would have any openings.

Do you have experience and certification to work in a restaurant, bar or café? Ask if you should deliver your resume at their airport location or apply to work with them online.

Are you willing to work around the clock, or do odd hour shifts? What about weather conditions? Are you willing to be exposed to the elements and proximity with noise, chemical fumes, and demanding conditions? If so, service and ground maintenance may be for you.

Getting to El Prat

Barcelona’s airport is approximately 12 kilometers southwest of the city, in the city of El Prat de Llobregat. It is easily accessible by motorways, roads, RENFE and even the TMB metro L9.

Actually it is a very big airport very neat and clean . Good management to assist the passenger. I have worked In Qatar Armed Forces for 14yes and now in Bcn from 2002. I have no job so looking job in airport can speek English verywell . My date of birth is 1950.

Mi nombre es José Manuel, soy venezolano pero tambien tengo nacionalidad española. Tengo 53 años de edad.

Soy piloto con 3.980 hrs de vuelo.
La mayoria como piloto militar (1.500 hrs en Fighting Falcon F-16, incluyendo las hrs como instructor y comprobacion funcional). Sin embargo, he volado otras aeronaves lo cual me permitio obtener la licencia de Piloto de Transporte de Linea Aerea con habilitacion en C-550, K-350, K-300, K-200, Monomotor y Multimotor, Vuelo Instrumental y Competencia Linguistica Nivel 4.
Tambien tengo Licencia como Instructor de Monomotor y Multimotor.
Ambas Licencias emitidas por la Autoridad Aeronautica de Venezuela (INAC), vigentes hasta el 01 de Agosto 2018.

Actualmente cumplo funsiones como Experto Tecnico - Representante de Venezuela ante la Comision de Navegacion Aerea de la OACI (observador) en Montreal, Canada. Dicha comision es hasta el 30 de junio 2018.
Finalize satisfactoriamente el curso de auditor OACI en el area de Operaciones Aereas y Traslado de Mercancias Peligrosas via Aerea.

Luego debo regresar a Venezuela con intencion de hacer el curso recurrente de vuelo instrumental, renovacion del certificado medico aeronautico y hacer las horas de vuelo correspondientes para renovar ambas licencias en sus distintas habilitaciones.

Mi intencion es residenciarme en España a partir de octubre 2018.

De acuerdo a lo anterior, tengo las siguiente pregunta:

Probabilidad de obtener empleo como piloto o cualquier otro en el area de Operaciones Aereas en Barcelona, España teniendo 53 años?
