Practice Yoga in Poble Sec with The Garage

Yoga has become a very popular discipline and for good reason: there are countless benefits offered by this sport! While everyone is becoming increasingly aware of the fact that mental well-being is as important as physical well-being , yoga is starting to be seen as the perfect activity. Yoga allows you to learn how to listen to your body and control your breathing while working postures that combine flexibility and balance.

This is the message spread by The Garage, a new yoga center in the charming neighborhood of Poble Sec. Wanting to share with others the experience of well-being, the center’s director, Verónica Blume, opened The Garage in September of 2015.

Entering the center, we find ourselves immediately immersed in a relaxing atmosphere: the lighting is soft and the silence is broken only by the sound of pleasant music coming from the speakers.

The Garage is a complete center that offers not only yoga but also workshops and customized sessions. At times, the center also poses as a showroom, presenting plays and concerts. Check the calendar on The Garage’s website for more information.

Yoga classes

The Garage offers different types of yoga: Ashtanga yoga, which focuses on energy and the physical and mental strength; Vinyasa, which focuses on breathing; Yin yoga, a more gentle style that focuses on deep relaxation through the prolonged holding of postures; and Nowhere yoga, a dynamic and energic style. The center also offers courses in prenatal yoga and yoga for children.

Classes are held in a comfortable room whose zen decor invites students to meditate. The combination of the atmosphere and the discipline itself is ideal to help students get rid of accumulated stress.

Visit The Garage’s website to check out their schedules and prices. You can also book courses online.

Don’t understand Spanish? Don’t worry! The Garage is more than used to receiving foreign students. The team itself is comprised of people of over 6 different nationalities, all of whom speak English. Classes can even be taught completely in English if all the present students are anglophone.

For more information visit the center’s website or send a message to hello@thegarageblume.com.
